Fart jokes for the win. XD

Ugh, I was actually moronic enough to post my 'Things that make you smile' post here by mistake...really need some sleep..

Also, I'm annoyed at missing judo class cos of a mild oblique injury...It feels really weird being sensible. I'm used to doing extremely stupid things like rolling 5 minutes after I'd shoved a dislocated shoulder back in place and taken some codeine. I get that I'm doing the right thing by resting, but damn. My mind is yelling at me 'Damn, you wimp, there are people in wheelchairs or with no legs, and you're going to sit at home and rest because you have a mild tear in your obliques? Fail.'

Yup, that was how I ended up with a scarlike 'hot spot' in my other side that kept reoccurring for a year...I'm not a smart woman...

Deciding to do some chin-ups just before bed wasn't a good idea. Neck is in agony Grrrrr

Was going to wash & polish my car in the sun today. Guess it's lucky for the neighbours as I wanted an all-over tan

My Anti-food colleague.

We stopped off at the Stockholm food festival today. It's brilliant, lots of local restaurants have small stalls there and you try try all sorts of nice foods (Swedish, Argentinian, Thai, Indian etc). I had a portion of Argentinian Black Angus steak and one of Swedish pickled herring, she had a coffee! It wasn't even a proper coffee, just one from one of those pod dispenser thingies. Then she raved about what a great coffee it was. Either she has really low standards or is just totally clueless. I may have to strangle her!

I'm planning to go back to the festival on Sunday! She says she might get a fruit salad from the African stall - I don't believe her. I love food, I love trying all different types of food, so it's REALLY unfair that I get stuck with someone whose idea of banquet is a small piece of cucumber and a tomato!

Thank you! What you said is so true. Last year the student I was over here with and I really enjoyed getting different dishes from different stalls. This year, anti-foodie sucked all the fun out of it. She just followed me round, looking feeble, pathetic and thin. I kept pointing out the veggie options, but she won't eat spicy food, cheese, bread, tofu, anything at all really! AAAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHH! To be honest I wish she'd just go away and leave me alone to my foodfest enjoyment.

Whenever I used to work away I did it on my own for the most part
Sharing an experience, especially eating good food, makes it so much more memorable. It's not just the food, it's the company

I know what you mean. Tried watching the knife and sword shopping show (for the sweet, sweet LULZ) with a woman a few times and she didn't find a couple of rednecks out for Darwin awards anywhere near as amusing as I did (sigh).

Needless to say, if I see it while channel flipping, I now watch it alone by myself.

Both of these! I love food, and I love talking about food and she just has no appreciation of the need for regular snacks and the enjoyment that most people get out of sharing a good meal!

There is also a language problem. She's Polish and her English is good, but not really great for general conversation, so I spend my time having to repeat stuff and explain what I mean to her. Plus she's so wimpy, feeble and miserable to spend time with and incapable of making a decision. Every time I ask her if there's anything she wants to do she just shrugs and says 'I don't know, what do you want to do', at which point I have to refrain from shouting 'STRANGLE YOU'! It's really draining, she wouldn't even get the bus by herself to one of our sample sites today (even though it is much quicker than the train) because she was 'very afraid'! We're in Sweden for crying out loud, the most danger she is in is being run over by a cyclist with no bell! I'm at the point where I just tell her what to do and if she's stupid enough to take the long way, then that's her problem!

I have dropped subtle hints that I don't want to spend my days off with her, but she's not getting the message! I'm getting round it at the moment because she's a morning person and I just say I'm going to sleep in and do something in the afternoon, so she has to fill the morning or just sit in her room. Also I did most of the tourist stuff last year and don't want to spend money doing them again. Her boyfriend (I can't believe she has a boyfriend!) is coming over next week, and I'm hoping I can get rid of her more easily when he's here.

I think she is actually a nice person, but she is just really draining to spend time with, as I have to make all the effort in converstations and all the decisions about what to do. Just once it would be nice if she bounced in saying 'I'd love to do x,y and z'!

I do sympathise. Maybe there is some childhood reason for her fear of food. I do like food but grew up with parents/step parents in the pub/ hotel/ restaurant business and even lived in a hotel for a while. By the time I left home I hated all eating 'events' and anything in company, like Sunday lunch, celebratory meals, Xmas, etc. I still pretty much hate eating with company, well except maybe a partner. But anything outside home and I'm very indecisive. I just don't like service and being waited on and watched while eating, would rather starve. I spent 24 hours in Singapore and ate nothing as far as I remember, hated the hotel and whole place really, only the hifi made it worthwhile. Almost did the same a few years later in Poznan, though managed breakfast before leaving.

lol... You'd probably regret watching it as much as I do but that's part of the laughs. I don't usually make it past 5 minutes of it unless they're courting the Grim Reaper.
