yeah, at least for me, it's more the type of response that does it, i think (and the tone has a lot of influence. it's a bad habit both of my parents have that's even rubbed off a little on me, unfortunately), although phrasing can make it worse (i specifically detest being told to calm down or to stop expressing my annoyance).

then again, being the sort to repress rage isn't healthy either, particularly when you fail at it. everything in moderation

The major failing of Swedish men is that they are all far too skinny and would require major feeding up and deadlifting sessions! I saw a really cute one on the train the other day, he was all tanned and had lovely arm development... then he stood up and I've seen chickens with better quad development than he had! Grrrr!
