Sell your bokken!?! OMG NO! Once you buy a bokken and bash people over the head with it, it's yours! It's a part of you. What's it's name?

Well, I have two daito (one unused) and one shoto (and a hanbo) It's not like Highlander or anything. I don't expect to have any spiritual bond with a lump of wood

Getting incredibly pissed off with the wasp problem in my flat that the council won't sort out until we stump up the best part of £70 to hire someone. Doesn't help my mother's being condescending as hell about me being scared of the damn things.

Heh, there's a nest somewhere nearby so killing them isn't doing much. Keep the windows and doors shut they still get in and I'm pretty sure these little things in here are baby ones

Oh boy do i hear you. I discovered a nest in our electric cupboard a few weeks ago after noticing a continuous supply of dead/dying wasps by the door. The nest is fully established and is likely to house around 5000 wasps. My advice is if you are going to try and kill them yourself, ensure it is quick and thorough because otherwise you are in deep do do. As i do not use the cupboard for anything i am letting them die off over the autumn and i'm leaving the nest there to prevent any other instances. I have just put a shed load of tape around the door edge to keep the buggers in there.

Reassuring... The problem we have is no idea where they're coming from and since I live in a council flat it could be anywhere in the area. Neighbour has a problem with them as well though and if I'm right about these baby ones then I assume its close. Gay that the council charges for it though

Really? It's a good thing that they charge for it, or it's homosexual that they charge for it?

If the nest is actually within your flat shouldn't your landlord (i.e. the council) have responsibility to deal with it without charging?

We get them in the shead/garden.

I normally go for the broom stick-poke-and-spray-poison-in-before-running-like-hell-technique.
