Close mates posting racist chain messages on facebook. Political views don't really factor into my friendships but its still depressing to see.

^^^^ I see some of that too, stuff passive racist facebook chains about putting the great back into britain etc, it is possible to be patriotic without being racist.

Also GRRR slept in for strongman training.

There is the answer to the problem already and yes, alas my laptop uses Vista, but has 4GB (upped from the factory 2GB fairly simple and cheap SODIMMs from Play.com)

Yesterday, my friend (ex/bf) was having a telephone conversation with someone which sounded all kinds of wrong I didn't know who I more wanted to punch (but obviously didn't). Just proves your friends friends are not necessarily yours

Looking at the laptop my first plan of throwing Ubuntu on it wouldn't work - the owner has no idea. 1GB of stuff in the Recycle Bin and all of the crap that installers tack onto the software you want installed (so it had literally half a dozen search toolbars in IE ). AVG is currently going bye-bye to be replaced with Avast.

Oh, and it looks like it has Office 2007 Home and Student, Office 2007 Enterprise and Microsoft Works on it too

Dear Self.

STOP panicking, you cowardly little worm. You are doing a powerclean, not fighting to the death. If you freak out from scooping some weight off the floor how the HELL are you going to be a competitive judoka?

Signed,
Reason.

Yes, after all this time I still panic a little when doing those...

Caution can be a good thing, with squats and cleans alike I always got really nervous till I had a couple of bails under my belt. Once you've stapled yourself or dumped the bar a couple of times you realise it's alright lol.

Disclaimer, this does not mean people should do something stupid to get that first 'mishap' under their belt.

Wasting time on medical check-ups for a job I didn't really want in the first place. I'll be tied up for two months while more interesting offers go right past my nose.

Sigh... I need to work out. Or hit something. Or workout by hitting something. Times like these, I really regret not having a heavy bag to call my own...

Went out sailing with bro and it turns out I get incredibly sea sick. Add in a non adjustable bouyancy aid that spent the journey stopping me being able to breathe and its been a really stressful day

^ It does get a bit better after a few trips out...

Something I ate earlier has given me an upset stomach. At first I thought it was IBS as it was making funny noises.
