Basically, there's a cabal at MAP and the only way to combat it is through the use of quotes from various Godfather films.

Ah thank ya.. I knew the quote was familiar but couldn't place it. Was underwhelmed by the first two Godfather movies so didn't pay mucha ttention to be honest xD

This is a piddly thing especially since I'm watching a Van Damme movie, but it really irks me when bad stuff happens in films not through any kind of element of surprise or genuine bad luck, but due to extreme stupidity. Like there was no joining up between "this dude's parents are killed" and how it's done so they just say "then they get in a bar room bet that they can survive being shot in the face" or something. Van Damme movie or not, there's no excuse for such poor writing or retarded characters "Take the night off bodyguard, I'll probably be perfectly safe despite feeling the need to have a bodyguard all these years.." indeed.
