GRRRRRRRRRR the news about the Olympic torch! So what if the torch has been past such and such a monument or some random person has carried it? Yes, I know its going to be carried through my town by my ex karate instructor, but when half (if not more) of the news is taken up by it it starts getting on my nerves. Meh I could just not bother, seems like a lot of stress for some t-shirts that'll be too tight for me now. One of her mates bumped into me while I was taking a lass on a date which probably has more to do with it than some unwashed boxers and T-shirts, that or because some old mutual friends have got in touch and been coming to the pub quiz with me.


Seems like a bit of a ball ache for a bunch of stuff (physical and emotioal) I really don't care or can be bothered with.

So, finally I have an oppertunity and inclination to visit my father in the UK. I was estranged from him for most of my lfe, and have only been back in contact the last few years, mainly for the kids. I have issues that I dont bring up to keep the peace, let sleeping dogs lie, etc.

Here we are arranging dates and itineries.

me- 'Here's the plan dad we will come to you from the airport, stay the night, spend the next day with you.'

dad- 'no can do son. Our house is too small, and some of our pets are too cross for the kids'

Seriously dad, you cant put your son and grand children up for one night after not seeing any of us for several years. And you cant put the savage dog out for the night
