Things that make you go GRRRRR.... (Part 2)

Can't you just go to the depot and get it? Everything in England just seems some much more complicated.

There are no contact details for the stupid delivery company on their website. If its not arrived tomorrow I'm going to call the seller and see if they can give me contact details so I can tell the delivery company that their couriers are illiterate morons who can't read house names and numbers from gate posts!

You'll get more luck if you tell them you want a refund. If you used a credit card, tell them you're going to complain to the card issuer you haven't received your goods and would therefore like a refund. They'll move pretty damn fast to get your package to you then.

Frodo, is there any other carrier available? For instance, I had an issue with UPS a while back. I called the shipper and explained and they resent using FedEx. Got my pack in two days. The other one got sent back by UPS! LOL....

Is that an option?

I don't think it is in this case. The package is actually with the courier, and they farm out the deliveries to self employed local agents, some of whom are great and others are complete lazy muppets. If I don't get any joy tomorrow, I'll ring the company. It's not urgent that I get the stuff (it's only vitamins) but I get annoyed when couriers can't be bothered doing what they are paid to do.

We had a paper delivery guy like that. We hadn't ORDERED the paper, yet we got it religiously each and every Sunday morning. Feeling remorse I decided to ORDER it. We got it twice and never again. I cancelled.

Next Sunday paper arrived at the curb and continued for 4 months. So I ordered it again. Two weeks later it stopped. So I cancelled.

Two Sundays later, guess what I got?

If ya can't find a local Japanese jujutsu school Bigmikey, ya can always become a ninja. There is a lot of overlap in the two systems, though as I understand it, Japanese jujutsu has a lot of quality control issues just like ninjutsu does (what MA can't say that though?).

My parcel finally arrived today - the box was a bit bashed up, but the contents are OK (although I was supposed to get a free protein shaker and there was not sign of that).

However, the useless delivery company, Hermes, actually gave up trying to deliver it to me after their first attempt and handed it over to UPS who had no problem finding my house.

Hermes apparently have a horrendous reputation:

Tanning doesn't agree with my delicate complexion, and I knew I should have invested in a gum shield for BJJ...

Ugh, I can't remember if I took my Ambien just now, and so I get to wait to see if I feel tired in an hour to avoid risk of overdose. Also, I had oral surgery yesterday and judging from the reactions of the doctors, that might end badly with future surgeries that sounded frankly quite miserable. But, I get to reward myself with weed and my inability to go run out my pent up aggression. *sigh*

Also, it's getting COLD here! I hate the cold. I want sunshine and beaches and drinks with little umbrellas. Running in the cold sucks. Cold wind protection inhibits my ability to spot dog attacks. And I don't get to soak up the sun and feel warm all over my skin. Life is so unfair.

I get really annoyed when people see me focusing on a task (ie exercising) and they decide that it's a good time to start up a conversation. Usually I am wearing headphones to try and deter them, but nothing says "hey I'm not doing anything so lets chat" like a set of large headphones.
