Pretty cool you're taking French. All the more reason for you to come to Canada

Though, I'd be slightly worried that you'd enslave the Quebec people and/or lead them in a rebellion.

:O

It all makes sense now! The real reason Frodocious wants to come to Canada is to rule over it as the supreme hobbit overlord!

That would be the reason behind the French course (the Canada move - not takin over Quebec - although now you mention it...

That's not me, that's Princess Haru - I prefer the more direct route of shooting them with my Zat gun...

I shall put that on my next Canadian job application in the 'long term goals section'!

I've had some success in language learning through Pimsleur software. Having gone the conventional academic learning for language, and Pimsleur, if I had it to do over again I would master Pimsleur French in 90-days and THEN go on to an academic course to work on the written communication. Supposedly, Pimsleur is what the FBI and the US embassies use to teach their staff languages as quickly as possible, but that might just be marketing.

Companies who only allow you to enter their competitions via a Facebook page. I don't have Facebook, I don't want Facebook and I shouldn't be forced to have it if I want to enter competitions.

I don't want to pay postage. It's the principle of the thing - I just object in general to everything now involving Facebook!

I mean why on earth would I want to follow Tampax (plus every other branded item that seems to have its own page) on Facebook?!

Starts planning a campaign of attack for JWT...

Points and laughs , then shudders at the thought of chemistry!
