ROFL .... As far as deep fried goes I only really like haggis and white pudding in batter. The first thing I'd do if I went back north of the border in a decent chippy

watching on TV what appears to be the norwegian black metal version of metallica's S&M symphonic orchestra concert

dunno what band it is, but it sounds pretty nice.

Smile-inducing thing observed while teaching kids class this AM:

Five year olds who attempt to spar by sticking their fists out and RUNNING full speed at their partner.

Not the most reliable or smooth technique, but if it works...

Waveform - That's normally a "Grrrrr" for me because it shows that they've learned absolutely nowt!

My for now - found my old university materials notes so I can apply for a few apprenticeships at Caterpillar. I wonder how many people applying will know in great detail how plasma and HPWJ cutters work

Haha...this was a kid who was only on his second day of classes with us. He had never sparred before and I told him that the goal was to hit his partner (lightly) - I told him to try anything that he thought would work.

After this shining moment, we tried more conventional things like looking for open targets, throwing combinations, etc.

Had this been a long-term student, it would have definitely been a "grrr" moment for me (and a jumping jacks moment for the student)

I work in an air conditioned office and I guarantee the girls tomorrow will have a heater on behind them, even though it will be in the high 20's.

Absolutely ridiculous (and they will have sweaters on).

I'm with you on this. My Irish/Danish skin burns in minutes (my current sunburn is from sitting in front of an open window, before I even went outside), but I still hate the cold. I used to live in a city where it was snowing 10 months out of the year, and seeing snow still kind of causes a rage response...

Lucky for some to have air con! Try working in a packed training room that has no access whatsoever to fresh air with nearly 20 computers running.

Plan for tomorrow is fill (recently "borrowed") fridge with water/lucozade sport, find heavy things to keep my paperwork on my desk, put all the fans on, steal any more fans I find on the shop floor, put them on then still fry
