WOOT! epic parkour session today. still kinda jump-challenged, but did more today than in all the previous sessions combined
did several successful cat leaps! getting slightly better at them, and numerous fails including repeatedly falling into a fountain with waist-deep water
oh, and smashing my fingers against concrete is fun, but painful. god DAMN those suckers can bleed
That's the last one still flying. I saw it at Wellesbourne Airfield Market last year, it did it's slow-side-ways-flying thing that it does and circled the market at about two hundred feet at the most. God that was so awesome.
I saw it a couple of years ago at the Sunderland Airshow and it was probably at about the same height coming along the coast. You couldn't hear it coming but as soon as those engines got past you you could! When the Vulcans were operational, a few of them were over in the States on exercise and they came back with a tree branch attached from flying so low (training for flying under RADAR) and they even flew under power cables
almost forgot: one of the parkour guys is a kickboxing instructor and invited me to train for free with him once a week!
also, pic of my latest (minor, but meh ) parkour boo-boos from failing cat leaps . the finger ones are almost invisible now, but bled like hell throughout the whole session.
would have gotten more, but my fingertips decided that they'd had enough of slamming straight into concrete. traitors!
i compensate by not having muscle mass on most of the rest of my body it's a known and tested scientific fact that my back and abs have almost no muscle mass. in fact they're this close to having a wiki article about it.
That I can fully believe (it may have been a lot lower but my memory isn't what it something something) I just remember the noise and being able to see up the pilots nose.
