They like cat food (or you can buy hedgehog food at garden centres)

It might start coming regularly if you start feeding it. Some of them run away when you approach, others will just sit still, let you put the dish of food right in front of them and, once you've gone, start chomping on it like there's no tomorrow.

Remember that they are literally crawling with fleas.

We have a visiting badger, it walks across our front lawn, down the side of the house and across the back lawn, digging holes if it fancies it. I've got some pics of it in the garden somewhere and can confirm that its claws click on the pavement as it runs

As I understand it hedgehog fleas are specific to hedgehogs and don't actually infest other animals. They might get on your dog or cat for a bit but can't live on them. IIRC.
Ticks on the other hand are the devil's work. Ugh.
