Things that make you go :-)) take two!

Unfortunately while you may feel rested and refreshed. You can't actually catch up on sleep. The damage done by not sleeping enough is done and there's nothing you can do about it.

that could explain my poor performance both in the gym and dojo this week, it was hardly worth the effort but got to push through those bad days

Where I live is chav/boy racer central. I often hear cars several streets away with souped up engines and blasting the worst music imaginable.

Today a car passed me blasting Tenacious D's "love" her gently, and it put a huge grin on my face xD

My poor kitty the other day. He had to go for a general anaesthetic to have a couple of teeth out and he came home doped up to the eyeballs. I let him out of his travel cage and he tried to do his usual of hurtling down the hall and leaping up on the banister. Unfortunately his balance and co-ordination was not what it should be and he ended up stumbling sideways crabstyle down the hall and only getting his front feet on the banister before falling off sideways. He then proceeded to try leaping on one of the armchairs (after stumbling sideways down the stairs) and falling off onto my head! Learning from his mistakes was just not happening when he tried to rub his head on me and ended up faceplanting on the floor! I know I shouldn't laugh at him, but it was just so darned funny watching him stagger all over the house. I guess he's got the 'ignore medical advice to rest' thing from me! Whoops!

Zoe Smith's excellent response to ignorant twitter bullying...

Watching Olympic judo on the tv this afternoon while also watching the MTB downhill world cup on Red Bull TV on my iPod

Might have to move my computer downstairs so I can watch four screens of Olympics instead of just one tomorrow

Some small things:

Really enjoyed karate last night, even though I was KNACKERED beforehand.

Went an entire session without any real pain or discomfort in my knee (and we did a lot of kata, so lots of holding what amount to stress positions) - so after only a day of semi regular stretching (I've found good stretches to do at desk, and LFD has been kind enough to give me some advice) my knee already showed improvement!

Got smacked about a bit last night.

Fairly big things, as PhD has been draining me recently, and karate simply hasn't been as enjoyable. But last night showed I'm still in to it! And my knee isn't a lost cause!

Now just to get running properly and lose the 'softness' I seem to have acquired against my will...

Training passion back in spades, staying dedicated is a breeze when I feel like this, let's smash things.

I bought a new bike today, it's a thing of beauty. Might post a picture later, as I want one for Immobilise website, just charging the battery for my camera

My Interm Driving report, according to my driving instructor when he handed it to me, pretty much states that I am an awesome person.
