My wife called me into the garden on the weekend.
She showed me a pooh my 3 year old had done on the patio decking.
She's well toilet trained (my 3 year old) but after a few cases of doing wee's behind bushes and a pooh in a layby now likes to do "secret wee's" outdoors.
We are trying to stop this.
We called our daughter over and asked her if she'd done it.
With a big grin on her face she nodded her head.
"It's not funny!" my wife and I said in unison, trying to be stern.
After a momentary pause for thought my angelic little daughter said.
"......it is a little bit funny".
We couldn't help but laugh.
The apple has not fallen far from this tree.

I feel their coloured balaclavas and tights could really catch on, if there was a bandwagon to jump on then Pussy Riot flash mobs around the world would be great fun and highlight an important issue about freedom of expression just for girls though!

Just had my first meeting about the first draft of my thesis, and it was generally positive! My director of studies had some very nice things to say about it, with regards to its potential impact and argument, and that 'it needs to be said'.

I think I'm sharing this because I don't quite believe it! It was a fairly ad hoc meeting today as this might be the last time he's in (he's got a new job at one of the London unis), so I was bricking it as I rushed in today. No need to, apparently!

I feel much happier and relived.

Now, if I can only trick someone in to employing me...

I think I had this in my tape collection, until they all got stolen at the place I lived at for most of the 90s, before I started buying records again. Essential Mix was really useful for tracklistings though I'd also just pick up recommendations or listen in shops. I still love Mephisto Odyssey 'Dream of the Black Dahlia' (fades in from 3:40) and have it in my vinyl collection
