Think I may have messed up on my choice of PSU?

Apologies for the long question. OK, I bought:

Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS3L Motherboard
Intel Core2Quad Q6600 @ 2.4Ghz CPU
Zotac 9600GT 512MB Graphics card

Also I have in my system 3GB DDR667 RAM
2 SATA hard drives
1 DVD writer
1 case fan

Now money was tight after buying the three components I bought and I never bought a new PSU...until my old one blew. Well I say blew, it still worked even after the burning smell, the spark and the big bang :P It seems the fan on the PSU was what blew as this was no longer working. Fortunately for me it never took anything else with it.

So I had no choice but to get a new PSU but having not a lot of money to spare I bought a Winpower ATX-750 PSU for £29.90. The specs are:

Input:
115VAC
7A Max
60Hz
230VAC
4A Max
50Hz

Output:
+5V 36A Max
+3.3V 35A Max
+12V1 18A Max
+12V2 21A Max
-12V 0.3A Max
+5V/SB 2.0A Max

Now the 9600GT has a minimum recommended power requirement of 400Watt PSU with 26A on the 12V Rail. I am currently using the 6 Pin PCIe connector on the PSU, so that's not enough amps right? If I use the Molex to PCIe adaptor and plug one Molex plug from each rail would that provide the required amps? Also I am now aware that winpower is not a good brand, but not having a lot of money I can't afford to spend the same on my PSU as I did on the Graphics card or Processor. Anybody have any advice on what I should do?

It is running ok at the moment I'm just worried about damaging the new stuff. For the record my old psu blew while playing a game but ran fine otherwise, I'm worried that this one may do the same.
