thinking of going ghost hunting with some friends. any tips i should know?

i have had experiences with the paranormal and have always wanted to go ghost hunting. just wanted to know if anyone else has ever done this? what are some things i should know. i take this seriously. were not going to mess around or tick anything off. were just wanting to see what we find out. there are alot of haunted places close to where im from.
here is a tip from me, whatever you want to call them, ghosts, spirits, entitys. they are real. because my 3 yr old daughter who has never met her great grandfather knows who he is because at a very young age she said she could see him. and at my grandmothers house who was married to my grandfather i seen a shadow of a person on the wall while noone was there. i dont believe all spirits are evil to be honest
Wilford Brimley your a jerk. and yes i was raised in church and my family is very spiritual. but there is no harm in believing in the paranormal. i have had experiences so i know there is another side. no harm in believing that
i believe in demons however i dont think all spirits are all evil.i think people who have passed have a way of speaking to you and not all of them are evil beings. when i was 15 i had a best friend killed by a drunk driver while she was crossing a highway. years later she came to me in a dream because i wanted to know if she was okay and in the dream it was not fuzzy like most it was like she was in person talking to me like someone would face to face now. and all i asked her was if she was in heaven. she laughed at me and said of course. i believe in the bible but i think alot of things are still unexplained and not everything has an answer. and i dont think believing that is wrong. i have had personal experiences that have shaped the way i am today and my beliefs. i know there is a heaven and hell but i also think some people who die suddenly can get trapped between the two because they dont have an understanding of what has happend or they need help with something.
to go to heaven you have to know god and believe in him. i know god and i believe in him. i don't think believing in other things are wrong. im sorry if you disagree this is just simply my opinion like disagreeing with me is your opinion, not claming your wrong or im right.
david i appreciate the prayed but whose to say im not a christian. your right you have to believe that jesus died on the cross for our sins and he is the only one who can give us ever lasting life. just because i believe that there may be another side possibly between heaven and hell does not mean im going to hell or im a sinner. like i stated there are reasons i feel this way and believe this so much
 
the most important thing to remember is they can turn you inside out by just flying through you. their link to the 18th plane rips through you and mangles your body. happened to a friend.
 
There are no dead people that get to be "ghosts". There are demons that can pretend to be "ghosts", in order to try and deceive people.

Demons ALWAYS mean harm, destruction, and death to people. And only JESUS can stop demons and drive away demons.

The truth about death is that death brings IMMEDIATE heaven or hell, depending ONLY on whether you believed in Jesus for salvation, or not.

Heaven is eternal joy with the Lord! :D

The lake of fire is eternal separation from God and eternal torment. Nobody has to be sent there.

So to be in heaven and not in hell, believe in Jesus for His free gift of salvation RIGHT NOW! :)

Please pray now: "Jesus, I believe that You died on the cross to pay for my sins and that You rose from the dead, and I thank You for eternal life!" You will be in heaven with Him forever when you die! :D
 
here's my take on paranormal activity, according to the Bible.

it's all demonic. the Bible tells us satan and his minions (demons) are masters of deception. every person has a spirit and when the body dies the spirit goes either to heaven or hell...there is no middle ground or "lost" souls. demons are spiritual beings who can roam the earth freely and can somehow take forms if they wish. look it up, it's a specific doctrine called "demonology".

i went to a Bible college. our campus was an old WW I academy and was rumored to be "haunted". i know some credible, godly men who can swear to be witness to "paranormal," or demonic activity. the oldest building on campus had the radio station on the third floor. one night someone was working late to prepare his morning show and suddenly heard the vacuum cleaner roaring. the building was locked. he went downstairs to check out who was cleaning at such an odd time of day only to find the vacuum off and unplugged. suddenly, the vacuum started up again right before his eyes.

another story comes from an evangelist. when he was a teenager he and a friend decided to play a ouija board in the back seat of a hearse. as soon as they began playing the game the hearse started up without a key.

another story comes from a missionary from the philippines. apparently some villagers were worshiping a wooden idol with a face carved in it. i guess the idol would cry tears. the missionary told the villagers to burn it and when they did they heard a scream coming from it.

these things aren't meant to be taken lightly. seriously, google "demonology" and read up on what they're capable of.
 
The Powder Factory would be a great place for you to visit in Cincinnati ohio. They say there is a lot of 'paranormal' activity going on there.
 
Yes, don't bring crucifixes, that pisses them (spirits) off a lot and may cause them to attack you...
