Thinking of writing a horror novel? would this be considered any type of copywrite?

i have been thinking of writing a horror novel that has a certain deep connection with the Nine circles of hell. if i included this in my story would it be considered copywrite infringement of any kind against Dante alighieri the author of Dante's inferno which also included the nine circles of hell? my story idea is completely different than his but the main story plot will derive greatly on that fact from his book.
