Past the giant Redwood trees, beside the murky green pond
Is the cottage I so deeply love; my utmost treasure in this land
Surrounded by the Willow trees, and lonely as a home could be,
It sits near my wooden swing, a friend of mine to say the least.
As I sit and stare so fondly, I think about the grace upon me,
Life here is a dream come true; the source of my undying glee;
A certain miracle, which God has bestowed upon me
This cottage is my home, and though it stands alone,
It is bounded by my love, and so I’m pleased to call it mine
My paradise, in a hectic world; an epitome of contentment
So obvious and true, I love this place with all my heart
And so I’d rather die, than hand it off to you.
They say “home is where the heart is,” and nothing rings more true
But this heart, is where the home is; and forever it will stay
So I’ll still love my home tomorrow, if I live to see the day.
