I was just wondering if you can take older mares in (she will be 16 in august) and she has a hogged (shaved) mane and i was wondering if it was against regulations for them to not have a mane? Im in QLd australia so any help would be great thanks

Or do you think this mare would do well?

She is alot fitter now than what she was in the third pic
By led classes i mean 'in hand' or 'conformation' classes

I'm not really sure what you mean by led classes....if its a showmanship type of class then an older mare can enter as long as its not an age specific class (weanlings, yearlings etc.) As far as her mane goes I think it would probably depend on the show. In showmanship classes the purpose of braiding the mane is to show off the horses neck (which I guess no mane does as well) but I am not sure if it would be acceptable at a rated show. Check with the show rules.
