I'm going through a phase of wanting to watch thought provoking and somewhat depressing animated movies. They MUST be targeted towards adults so no Disney and all that childish junk PLEASE. I also want movies instead of series unless they're really good ( so nothing stupid like Inuyasha, Naruto, Final Fantasy, Full Metal Alchemist, etc.). I prefer animations that use animals as main characters but they don't necessarily need to incorporate them.

So far I've watched:
Plague Dogs, Watership Down, Felidae, Ringing Bell of Chirin, Fritz the Cat, Cat Soup, ALL of Studio Ghibli (Spirited Away, Pom Poko, Ponyo, Tales of EarthSea, Princess Mononoke, Howl's Moving Castle, etc.), Angel's Egg, Fantastic Planet, When the Wind Blows, Animals of Farthing Wood, all of the Jungle Emperor Leo's and Kimba series, and One Stormy Night.

If anyone has any suggestions I'd be very grateful! And again (cuz some people simply don't get it) PLEASE NO DISNEY OR MOVIES LIKE HOMEWARD BOUND, BABE, AND ALL DOGS GO TO HEAVEN. THEY ARE TOO CHILDISH. I WANT MOVIES GEARED TOWARDS ADULTS! Thanks again :)
