thoughts on the Michael Jackson trial?

Update: 2 years.
Plus I believe it was reported that his license was yanked awhile back.

Manslaughter is a very tricky accusation... Personally, I think he didn't murder or kill Jackson, I think he had the blame passed to him, and that someone else may have been involved, with Conrad being the fall guy, similar to what his family says.

No, the sentence is four years. However, because California has crowded prisons, he will probably serve only half of it locked up, and the other half via probation. His license was revoked (or will be revoked) when he was convicted a few weeks ago.

Im not saying this to try to hi-jack the thread at all, but as an aside I'd be interested to know how many people like me don't really care what happened in this trial and would be happy to never hear about Michael Jackson ever again, except with regard to his music?

Everything else about the man's life (and death) just seems a sordid mess and I'm sick of hearing about it.

Johnno I'm one of those. I doubt he'll serve any real 'hard' time. He'll serve a few months in a minimum security facility then go about his merry way. I'd just as soon not ever hear of MJ again. Like I said earlier, if this had been a crack addict or some average joe off the street it'd be a non-story.
