The Oklahoma City Thunder are close to bringing back Scott Brooks as their head coach. While nothing is official yet, sources say the two sides are nearing an agreement. Brooks’ new contract will be for between $4 and $5 million and will be four seasons in length.

Brooks has had an extremely successful run with the Thunder. In his first full season, he led the Thunder to the playoffs. His second season saw OKC make it to the WCF. This year, in his third season, Brooks took the Thunder to the NBA Finals. While the Thunder lost to the Miami Heat, everyone expects Oklahoma City to make it back again and again.

This is Brooks’ first head coaching job in the NBA. He was previously an assistant coach. Before that, he carved out a long yet quiet career as a player.
