Time Warner Cable Box Problems?

I have a TWC box in my room and it constantly flickers black, goes mute for a second. It also goes into like a widescreen mode (my tv is standard tube) and I have to unplug then plug it back in to work. Anyone know what I can do because its really starting to piss me off. Also it erases my timers, I cant actually go and look at my timers like you can the DVR, but when it comes time to come on it doesn't pop up a reminder.
 
It sounds like a problem with the box. Obviously. The best way would probably to call TWC and have them send a technician out to fix it.
They won't charge anything, and if it is an issue with the box, they can replace it, also at not charge.
They might just take 1 to 2 weeks to actually get out there.
