Tips on getting long hair into a helmet?

I have long hair (down to my hips if not further), and I show huntseat. I always have a hard time getting my hair to stay in my helmet. I use a hair net, bobby pins, have tried braiding it, leaving it down, and so on!! haha Got any tips?
