My husband and I are taking out children to disney this summer. We have a 12 year old, a 9 year old, a 5 year old and a 2 year old. (I am also pregnant with twins but they will be staying at home with my mom). We are staying at Port Orleans on disney grounds. So if there are any tips you have please share thank you very much!

Take your time! Don't try to rush and see everything! Don't push your kids from one thing to the next. You can have some of the most fun just letting them wander. Summer is busy, hot, and miserable, unless you prepare. You MUST take breaks (you and the kids!). You MUST take time to sit and have some water, rest for a few minutes, etc. With a 2-year-old, I would highly advise getting to the parks early, going to the hotel mid-day for a break for everybody and a nap, and returning to the parks in the evening - this way, you beat the worst of the heat and the worst of the crowds.

Get a guidebook or two and let your older ones help plan. It will be fun for them and you.
