Ive been a tmobile customer for a while (maybe 4 years?).
my family plan's contract is about to run out.
I hear if I call and threaten to leave they will give me special offers on family plans....what can I expect?
Well, since you have to call to cancel anyway, when you call, just advise them that you want to cancel effective XX date, and they will probably ask you why, who you are going with, etc. Depending on what the reps are authorized, they may or may not offer you a better rate plan. Be prepared to tell them what kind of deal you are going to get from their competitors, (ie-Verizon has an unlimited family plan with unlimited minutes, internet, text and pic and vid msgs, navigator, vcast, etc all included, 2 lines are $269. Tmobile doesn't have navigator, Vcast, nor do they include the internet time). Be prepared also with phone deals that you are wanting, (ie-Verizon if you buy a Chocolate for $69 you'll get one free type thing, but know what deal you would get for the type of phone you are wanting as well).
You need to be polite, but also be ready to walk away from them as well.
