i read that last year, and i loved it. my favorite part was when Atticus says "Courage isnt a man with a gun. Its when you know your beaten before you begin, but you begin anyways and follow through to the end" i dont know if thats the exact thing he says but i loved it. And 'to kill a mockingbird' is a comparison. a mocking bird only flies around singing and doesnt do anything to anyone, so wouldnt it be wrong to kill it? compare a mocking bird to tom Robinson and Boo Radley, because really, neither off them did anything. Tom helped that girl (forgot her name) even though he was crippled and she accused him of rape, which was a death sentance. but, she was abused by her drunk father and was scared and she was alone all the time because no one liked the family, she just wanted tom to give her 'pleasure' because she wanted to feel , i dunno, happiness. Boo radley did some bad stuff in his teens and for that, his dad locked him up for 15 years. after all that time, wouldnt you be scared to go go outside? and because he was scared, the town thought he was weird for not going outside and spread those horrible rumors. he felt like he could watch over jem and scout like they were his own.. *the watch they found in the tree was like an heirloom that gets passed from father and son, being broken represents the broken relationship between him and his father, and he gave that to Jem* and he save them at the end of the book, he might have killed that man, but he did it for the kids, and during the fire, he put a blanket on scout-exced...
im not gunna write it for you, i had to write one myself lol but those are some of the points i put into mine. and also, Tom tried to run on purpose and purposly got shot because he knew another trial wouldnt go well, and he would die anyway, it was just a more humane way of doing it, i feel bad about it bcz he had his wife and kids... anyway, good luck
