Tom Clancy Vegas 2 PC: How can I fix the XBOX 360 controller option?

I have the 360 controller for Windows, and it works with all the other games I have, but for some reason, when I go under options in Vegas 2, I try to turn it on, but it won't work....even though it's connected.

I already did the 1.01 patch, and that still didn't fix it.
