Judging from posts on the Internet section of this site, thousands of US teens spend hours trying to get something for free that clearly should not be free - irrespective of the potential risk to their computer or even the legal implications. Teens simply do not like paying for things.
In the case of music tracks, these freeloading teens are hypocrites. They are cheating the very people they claim to admire out of their royalties - a legitimate part of their earnings - which they get via downloads from legitimate sites such as iTunes.
It often seems as though teens really believe recording artists do what they do simply for fun rather than as a career, a means of earning their living and feeding their families.
