Toshiba Satellite freezes and doesn't turn on.?

Ok. I have a Toshiba Satellite M300, Model No. PSMD4C-02Q01C. My laptop has been freezing on me lately. It started when my charger cable broke. I then got the charger replaced but it has gotten worse. My laptop doesn't turn on at times. The lights turn on sometimes and when they do it works. Another thing is that when my laptop IS working it won't freeze if I'm running Counter Strike Source. This is the weirdest thing too. Cause its appears to prevent my laptop from freezing. The only thing that I installed at the time when the freezing started was prince of persia, and I know a virus when i see one so it's unlikely that it's a virus. I also uninstalled and deleted A LOT of stuff at the time too. I'm just wondering if anyone knows if this is a hardware/technical problem or just a virus that I don't know about.
