Called the "Ultimate Home Media Tablet" Toshiba's tablet has built its own user interface on top of Windows CE. It will allow you to run a full Web browser and according to this release you can access Picasa, YouTube, Flickr and your instant messaging clients from the Wi-Fi device. It would make sense if it operates with Toshiba's home media line but there is no word on that yet.
It has an ARM chip inside so chances are it won't handle HD content all that well, though it would be pretty sweet if this thing had Nvidia's Tegra inside. A base station will be sold separately that will have USB and HDMI outputs.
The brushed aluminum device will retail for 249 Euros (about $350 U.S.). Eh that is a bit of money for a Win CE device. Zune HD makes more sense to me. [TwitPic, Thanks newgadgetsde and Engadget]
