Tottenham Riots

So do I as she lives not all that far away from the riots itself.

Guess its all they've got. People who run those small businesses are the ones I'm feeling for with all the arson. Insurance payout might be nice but it doesn't bring a livelihood back.

I've been trying to find some confirmation for the last 20 minutes , nothing as yet.

Well Ealing is burning now, they've set fire to the park near the tube station and the shopping centre. Damn it I go to uni there!

Police station fire in Handsworth confirmed. Also reports of looting at Cash & Carry on Nineveh Road and elsewhere around Handsworth. Reports of trouble in Northfield and Selly Oak as well as the gay quarter in city centre where a man was apparently attacked by a gang of people and stomped on before being pulled to safety by a passing car, outside of the Missing Bar.

they're not solving social problems, they're rioting. the only case in which rioting solves a social problem is when said social problem is part of society itself and the riots destroy it (usually a government), but even then it tends to be directed rioting. this is just opportunistic looting and iofftopicture destruction of public and private property.

I'm not sure. I can't seem to find out. Only that it was set on fire. Maybe more will come to light.

However apparently the only place rioting outside London is still just Birmingham, nowhere else has been officially confirmed yet.
