my 1999 Celica has trouble starting when sitting for 24 hours. I turn the key and it acts like it's going to start but the idle does not maintain itself and drops to under 100 rpms, and the car cant keep itself started. I have to push the gas peddle before the idle drops to get it to stay where it should be...after this initial start it will work fine until it sits again for 24 hours. The battery is fine, and I had a similar problem before and it was the idle air control valve...took it to the mechanic this time and told him it was similar and he cleaned it, but the starting problem didn't happen for him since it didn't sit there for 24 hours. I am not convinced it's the same problem as once the car starts the idle is fine and drives fine. Any ideas??
lol yeah i am gonna go to a different mechanic...he replaced it the 1st time, this was 30k miles ago. I'm not sure it's the same problem because last time it would start but idle really low, this time it idles fines after i get it started.
there are no codes being displayed when the mechanic checked that
