"Trainspotting" Is the movie same as the book's exact plotline?

Does the movie follow the book's plotline/story completely? If there are differences, please point out.

I've seen the movie but I haven't read the book, so I will not be that much help.

I did start reading another of Irvine Welsh's books. The Acid House, I think it was called. I didn't finish it, sadly, for many reasons.

Anywho, based on what I know about books and movies, the book will probably have a lot more information in it that the movie leaves out.
