So I am half Turkish-half Indian (my mum is Indian, dad is Turkish-Atheist). I have been to Turkey, and despite of being a Muslim country, people are pretty much westernised. So when I went there with my boyfriend-now fiance. I'm travelling to India in June with my fiance, there was no trouble at all. Will we get stares?I mean, inter-ethnic relationships are still a no-no in Indian culture and my fiance is white. Is there gonna be any trouble? I heard that Indian girls who date white guys are considered slutty by Indians. How true is that?
Thanks!

You may experience some jostling in the lower class train carriages
especially in the punjabi areas. Just go to the normal tourist places
and don't act drunk and you'll be okay

Inter-ethnic/inter-racial couples will come up against curious looks in a lot of parts of the world, sometimes that's all it is (curiosity) although it may feel hostile or intrusive at times for sure.In India as a westernized woman you will get quite a few stares anyway. If you pass for Indian then i guess that may put misguided anger into the minds of some narrow minded people who think your boyfriend has stolen one of their own from them.Other than that you will probably face quite a lot of questions from people you get talking to,where did you meet, where are you from, why do you look Indian etc.So i guess be prepared for a bit of attention but try not to take it to serious get angry or upset about it.It may also depend on what part of India your visiting,(urban/rural/tourist area) most important is to leave India feeling like it was mostly a fun interesting visit, enjoy.
