Travelling with mother cat and infant kittens?

I'm going to be travelling across country with a mother cat who just had kittens. The kittens will be about 2.5 wks old when we travel. Of course they will be in the carrier with the mother but should I worry about whether or not the mother will care for them or if she'll be too nervous?

I'm pretty sure that she would care for them. It's a mother cat's instinct; but if she is frightened by the loud, rumbling vehicle you may have to bring some kitten supplies on the trip. I recommend seeing how it goes and if the mother cat doesn't care for them just stop by a Pet's Mart or something.

I think that they are going to be fine (: But, you should put like a cloth for privacy for the mother cat if you think she's going to get nervous and check on her to see if she's actually feeding them. Good luck (:
