I have a 1996 Mitsubishi Galant. When my car is cold, the car starts to misfire and the idle isn't stable meaning that it goes up and down. The idle is noticeable only when you actually look at it, but the misfire is noticeable. When the car is warmed up, the misfiring stops but the idle is still there. I took a diagnostic scanner and it pulled up two codes, it says that the Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor was bad and cylinder 1 is misfiring. I checked cylinder 1 and I took out the wire when the car was on and it started to miss a lot, I plugged it back in and it was firing fine. I am pretty sure that the cylinders are fine. I was going to ask if that were accurate, I don't know if there could be other things that might throw the scan off or if it is correct.
