Truck back axle shifted to the side?

It seems my truck was hit in the side on the rear wheel and it shifted the axle just a couple of inches to the side and now one wheel is sticking out more than the other. Im planing to get a 2" lift and bigger wheels like 31"s. Could this cause some problems, should I fix that before the modifications or should I not worry about it. And if so how do I fix it.
