the mercedes benz company in sf advertises that it has been owned by the same family in the same location for 46 years. it then makes 2 claims: 1) because it has owned the land for 46 years, it has lower overhead than other nearby auto dealers. 2) b/c of its lower overhead it charges a lower price on its cars.
how true is that? and what's a lower overhead?
