Trying to put slick back tire on bike and having trouble...?

I have the right tools, but I feel like if I scoop these tools any harder into the back wheel of my mountain bike that I will break it. Any advice on replacing the back tire of a mountain bike?
 
You want to squeeze the tire toward the center of the rim and work it around to the place you are working to get the tire on. Once you get it on center the tire all the way around.
 
Try a little soapy water on the bead of the tire. Acts as a lubricant. See link below too.
