I figured this form should help streamline the YA R&S rants:

Random acts of nature be damned. This was Divine Intervention by (INSERT YOUR PERSONAL GOD HERE) to punish (INSERT CURRENT BLASPHEMOUS DISBELIEVERS HERE)!

Optional: a Wall of Text precariously stringing together various religious passages and quotes in a poor attempt to further your conviction.
An Earthly Hope: Earthquakes happen every day. 8.0 magnitude earthquakes occur several times every decade. And Jesus knew nothing of Plate Tectonics.
 
The eye of a storm. A place of torment says Paul. I am sure what happen to Japan is like a thorn in their flesh. Why did this happen says Paul. To stop me from being conceded or looking down on every one else? Using the power God gives to over rule others of low estate? God does things to slow us down and make us think. God is the CEO of all creation and the boss over hell too. God knows the intent of every man or woman. Every thing in all creation is naked and exposed to God and what they propose to do. Nothing happens that God is not aware of before it comes. If God allows it it is for a reason. For the world to see themselves in retrospect to God. God created and rules the elements. He formed us from Dirt and to dirt we all will return. God's wrath and punishment? God thwarted the purpose of another to get the attention of all. This world will not end until God say so and he will stop anyone that thinks he or she is in control as God. We all have sinned and most are still living sinful. Japan is not the only area that has been a headliner. There is more to come if we refuse to seek God. Japan has not done any more than any other country. Haiti Louisianan Switzerland or Sudan. Africa has been a headliner also. Random acts of Satan be diverted. Satan comes to kill steal and destroy says the word of God. He roams to and throughout the earth seeking the weak. What God are you worshiping? Do we serve a nuclear god. Do we serve a man made god? GOD IS A JEALOUS GOD! And he has not changed. God unleashed the cracken
and that one is Satan and his entourage. Satan has tumbled kingdoms and over turned lands and he is willing if God allows him to do it. Left on his own he will destroy all of us and this world.

The Tower of Babel in the Prophecy may have an entendre concerning the Archealopelago. (peleg?)

The sea floor (beast from the sea) spreading speed and distance does/does not maintain same speed in the absence of other interfering variables of Force?
 
I would imagine there are some bible thumpers who would say that Japan had a divine cosmic zinger coming.

My take is, I have nothing but sorrow and empathy for the Japanese people who suffered from this natural disaster. This is a tragedy, something no one there expected.

It has nothing to do with divine intervention. It was a sea quake that struck and hurt the Japanese just as there was an earthquake in New Zealand that hurt the people of Christchurch.

Its just a sad tragedy. The only gratitude I have here is that unlike the earlier quake in the 1920's, this one has not killed 143,000 people in one fail swoop. It doesn't mean this isn't a tragedy. It is.

But thankfully, and hopefully, the casualty numbers will be low.
 
Everybody claims they hate the Westboro Baptist Church but this despicable stream of comments from some religious people shows how many people are actually quite similar to them
