tune up on my hyundai elantra?

my dad gave me the car, its a 2000 hyundai elantra, with 97,000 miles on it. 60,000 are highway miles. but anyways im going to do a quick tune up on it. i know alot about working on cars and fixing any kind of motor but im not sure what gains ill recieve i just wanna throw in some hotter spark plug wires with some iridium plugs, and a k&n air filter. and put some zmax in the oil and fuel...the plugs were never changed and i just want a better flowing filter. its a 5 speed also..

i dont need a street ricer i just want a smooth running car. think this will make a better ride?
 
Make sure you put in a new distributor cap and spend 5 bucks for a good fuel injector cleaner. I like split fire plugs or Bosch platinum plugs. Are you going with just a k&n filter or a cold air intake?
