Tuning in Forza 3 For the Xbox?

I want to learn to tune in Forza Motorsport 3. I dont want a tuning calculator or anything like that. Please help me, if it matters i feel comfortable with around 500-600 HP cars and only use RWD cars. If you have Xbox Live add me my gamer-tag is High Cal Killa.
