turbo charging a 1996 ford escort?

So i am looking at turbo charging a 1996 ford escort lx with the 1.9l engine it. How Much am i looking at spending for the whole turbo kit and where is a good place to get one. I havent found anything on the web that specifically says its a ford escort turbo. Would it be possible to run the turbo on a low boost and not have to redo the engine. a lot of the engine is new it had a few parts replaced recently. But i havent replaced headers or pistons and rods would those need to be replaced even for a low boost turbo?

in order to install a turbo on a previously naturally aspirated engine, the combustion chambers must be enlarged to lower the compression ratio. in larger engines, this is accomplished by "dishing," gouging out the tops of the pistons. Smaller engine conversions require the changing of the cylinder head to achieve the same effect, in addition to needing new headers . not doing the prep work and just installing a turbo is a total waste of money, as you will accomplish no boost.
