I would like to turn my Roadmaster into a street legal dragster. Nothing NHRA or anything but something that will turn 9 seconds in the quarter. I've been given all types of advice by many people I work and deal with but what do you think? Small block, big block? Is it possible to reformat it into a 6spd manual instead of a 4 speed auto? What are good websites to check? Etc.....Thanks ahead of time.
If you're wondering why a 96 Roadmaster it's because I already own it and it's just a free car that I can jack with and that 350LT1 (160,000 miles and still runs like new) is a VERY solid motor and it would be a fun BIG project that I could work on.
