My next fight will be my 70th pro fight and could be my last(I did fight in UFC 61 at 155lbs). I'm thinking about joining the Navy. I have aways wanted to serve and I'm getting no younger. My wife is a RN, so she will find work and my son is 4...I will be 31 this summer and I have been on some kind of sports team for the last 25 years..wrestling,boxing and now MMA(UFC) at Miletich Martial Arts. I have no college but I do have a lot of leadership skills. Want do you think about someone like me joining the Navy.????

I think you should go for the Marines. But, I'm sure the Navy would love to have you too. My stepson is currently at Parris Island becoming a Marine. The Marines offer up to $40k in enlistment bonuses. And my boy went into basic as an E-2. They let him skip a rank because he is very athletic and pretty smart.

You should become a Navy SEAL! I'm sure you're already in top physical condition, so you wouldn't need to improve. I'm also sure it will still provide you with a physical challenge, because it's the toughest training in the world. You will be the most respected, bad ass in the world. Go for it.
