UK question do you have a cat and have had to leave him/her in a cattery

whilst on holiday? We are going away on holiday in May and have to leave our cat in a cattery for 2 weeks. (first time)

We have been recommended a local place but am worried about our cat being stressed out whilst we are away.

We have had our cat 12 years is very well looked after and part of the family.

When we take him to the vets he gets really stressed out going in is cat box for a short time!
 
l actually get people who come to the house to feed my animals when l am away over a weekend or very rarely a week as have many animals.it is cheaper than boarding and the cat or animals are less stressed sp that is a consideration.Check in the local paper or your vet if he knows of anyone providing this service and also what we call here the 'Grey Army' retired people who do odd jobs for extra cash
