unanswerable questions

Wow, great answer, though I was a little bit hoping for a yes or a no . At school they told us a lot about the universe, but they never made clear if it was infinite or not.

I concluded the universe is not infinite, because since the big bang light is travelling at 300 kilometres/second away from the big bang. So if I think about it that way, there is no end to the universe, because those rays can keep on travelling, but on the other hand, there is nothing that can go to a point where those rays did not go yet. so actually its not infinite that way...

I should go study my maths now

Ok, first if an unstoppable force hits an immovable object the unstoppable force will bounce off and continue on in a new direction while the immovable object just sits there.

Now then, if you are in a car that has been built for travel at the speed of light and you turn the head lights on will they work?

I actually disagree with that theory. The unstoppable force needs to go from positive vector speed to negative vector speed, which means that at some point it must pass 0. So for an infinitesimally small moment in time, the unstoppable force is in fact at speed 0.. hence, stopped...


This depends on whether you believe light is a wave of a particle.

If it's a particle, travelling at the speed of ligt would mean the particles reach infinite size... but then again, you car is travelling at the speed of light...

On the other hand if its merely a wave then in theory anything is possible...

That would only happen if the object bounced back in the exact direction it came from. If it bounce or deflected off in a new direction it would never actually stop moving.

The real question here is how do we define work? If they light up but don't shine out in front of you because your traveling at the same speed as the light they are casting do you say they worked because they turned on or do you say they didn't work because they failed to preform their function and light your way?

Here is a potentially unanswerable question (that is akward to spell).

if a cat always lands on it's feet,
an toast always lands butter side down,

what happens if you strap some buttered toast to the back of a cat and throw it?

now that i think about it, the cat's legs would probably just bend backwards (breaking in the process) and touch the ground at the same time as the buttered toast
