captivate or nexus one? which would you recommend according to hardware quality, price, features? Why? also what year did those two come out to the market? thnx
if you choose the captivate, why not the nexus one? if you choose the nexus one, why not the captivate?
 
First of all, you can't buy the Nexus One anymore, at least not directly from Google. I bought min in March. about two months after it was released. You can only buy one now if you join the Android Development group, and you have to pay a small fee to do that. You might find them on eBay and other places.

It will probably be easier to get the Captivate.

The first difference between the two is that they're made by different companies. The Captivate is by Samsung. HTC builds the Nexus One. The Captivate's screen is a little larger. Otherwise, the specs on the two phones are pretty similar. The Captivate was released in June, I believe.

I would push the Nexus, if you could could actually get one, because it's the best phone I've ever had. I've rooted and modded it a lot since I got it, and it runs like a dream. Considering the similarity of the Captivate, it seems like a nice phone.

You might also look at the Samsung Vibrant from T-Mobile, which is their version of the Galaxy. Very similar specs, and I would take T-Mobile's service over AT&T's any day.
