My friend has had his Blackberry Curve 8130 for a while and is getting a new phone. He will give the old one to me. He has ATT, I have T-Mobile. He says that giving away the IMEI code is dangerous, and is not a good idea to do. How do I get the code to unlock the Blackberry and make it user-compatible with my SIM card? Is it possible? Is it legal? Will my information be safe?
