ups delivery, front door or go to pick up?

i ordered two pairs of shoes online through ups and i was wondering

would they leave the shoes at my front door if i wasn't home to pick it up
or do i have to go to a ups store and pick it up?

its up to the driver.......i used to work for them. the driver decides if there is a safe location to leave the package. you could leave a note for him with instructions where to leave it, to avoid a trip to the ups pick-up

UPS doesn't deliver to the UPS Store. They either leave the package at your door or you have to go to their processing center. Since UPS office is about 30 minutes from my home, I prefer FedEx, which is minutes away and on the way home from my work. You might consider having packages delivered to your work in the future.
